Roanoke Cement Company, LLC is the only active cement plant in Virginia. Following its modernization in the mid 1990s, the plant received the Governor's Environmental Award and hosted the 1999 IEEE Conference. The Roanoke plant's annual production is more than 1.3 million tons. Products include a variety of bulk and packaged Portland and masonry products. The bulk products are distributed through a series of strategically-located distribution terminals in Virginia and North Carolina; the packaged products are available through a network of distributors. |
