Obama's Better Buildings InitiativePresident Obama recently made an important announcement about The Better Buildings Initiative. This initiative is a collection of incentives and actions that are designed to drive a full 20% reduction in energy use among commercial buildings. Please view or read the Announcement, as well as the News Release the U.S. Green Building Council has put out in support of this critically important initiative on our website. Help put the US Department of Energy's 2011 Solar Decathlon back on the National MallThe National Parks Service has decided that the Solar Decathlon cannot take place on the Mall this October. They are kicking it off, and leaving the competition to find another spot. This is quite unfair to the student groups as they are 8 months away from their installations and have based all of their work on this location. Many are obtaining funding based on the prominent location. Current Annual Triangle USGBC Sponsors |
