Work with the development committee to pursue chapter annual and event sponsors

Development Committee

Overall Committee Charge:

The Development Committee is focused on funding activities that advance the mission of the USGBC and the priorities of the Chapter. The committee meets monthly to formulate strategies that will support all Chapter activities through event and annual sponsorships.

Major Tasks / Responsibilities:

· Work with the Development Committee to update and refine sponsorship materials and benefits
· Work with the Development Committee to contact potential sponsors
· Work with the Development Committee to contact individuals and organizations for philanthropic gifts

Benefits & Intended Outcome:

·  Support chapter development efforts which are critical to chapter growth
·  Develop knowledge of sustainably minded corporations
·  Develop relationships within the green building industry

Volunteer Qualifications:

Beneficial, but not required:  Outgoing individual with a good network of contacts

Expected Investment from Volunteer:

1 year term, 3-5 hours per month, including a monthly committee meeting
