Summary:

Lead the chapter's annual sponsorship drive to recruit annual sponsors for 2012.

Overall Committee Charge:

The Development Committee is focused on funding activities that advance the mission of the USGBC and the priorities of the Chapter. The committee meets monthly to formulate strategies that will support all Chapter activities through event and annual sponsorships.

Major Tasks / Responsibilities:

·       Work with the Development Committee to update and refine sponsorship materials and benefits

·       Finalize list of annual sponsor targets from development prospect database

·       Work with the Development Committee to contact potential annual sponsors

Benefits & Intended Outcome:

·       Support chapter development efforts which are critical to chapter growth

·       Develop knowledge of sustainably minded corporations

·       Develop relationships within the green building industry

Volunteer Qualifications:

Beneficial, but not required:  Outgoing individual with a good network of contacts

Expected Investment from Volunteer:

1 year term, Average 3-5 hours per month, including a monthly committee meeting.  Work load expected to be less April - July 2011, increasing in Q3-Q4.
