Advocacy/Green Schools

Overall Committee Charge:

Engage local school communities in support of green schools.

Major Tasks / Responsibilities:

Outreach and education for groups including the PTA, school principals, local school administrators and other staff organizations.  Support "adopt a school" campaign which helps local schools implement low/no cost measures to green their school.

Benefits & Intended Outcome:

Help provide a more healthy learning environment for our children and future generations in our community.

Volunteer Qualifications:

Experience with advocacy and/or legislation beneficial, but not required.

Expected Investment from Volunteer:

1 year term, 1-2 hours per week.
