2010 Advocacy Day
June 2, 2010
Board and Chapter members from all three NC Chapters (Charlotte, Triad and the Triangle) traveled to Raleigh to meet with legislators for the 2010 Advocacy Day. Working in teams, the volunteers visited with our representatives in both the House and Senate to provide sustainability information, answer questions on green building and offer future assistance. The group also stressed the USGBC's support for the NC Sustainable Communities Task Force (H.B. 1701). Many thanks to our members who volunteered their time: Anthony Baldassari, Doug Brinkley, Melissa Carter, Blake Hall, Steven Hawley, Julia Janero, Katherine Jordan, Jeff Leahy, Bae-Won Koh, and Jennifer Wagner.
