Event Recap by Fawna Brannigan from the Triangle USGBC Emerging Professionals

The Triangle USGBC / Emerging Professionals Annual Golf Tournament was held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course on August 26th, 2010. Great golfing and beautiful weather! Check out the photo gallery on Flickr.

The tournament was a huge success, in part due to the generous sponsorships provided by firms which support our mission throughout the year. Our Gold Level Sponsors were Comfort Systems USA, Dixon Golf and Urban Food Group, which all contributed over $1000 toward this event. The Silver Level sponsor was Affiliated Engineers Inc., with a monetary donation of $500. The Bronze Level Sponsors who contributed either by donating food or monetarily in the amount of $250 were Moseley Architects, Choate Construction, Engineered Designs, Inc., Commissioning Consultants, LLC, Crabtree Tavern, Carolina Cafe and Bakery, Earth Fare and Edwards Mill Grill.

A total of 64 players teed up on a beautiful sunny day with low humidity. Following the golf, dinner was provided by Carolina Cafe and Bakery, Edwards Mill Grill, Crabtree Tavern, and Earth Fare. Several prizes were donated and raffled off as the winners of the contests and golf event were announced.
