Volunteer commitments can range from as little as 3 hours/month to as much as 40+ hours/month. We are happy to find a role within the organization to suit your interests and available time. Volunteering with the Emerging Professionals Committee is a great way to build a network of contacts within the green building industry, shape the future of green building in the Triangle, and help make a tangible difference towards our ultimate goal of making green buildings available to everyone in a generation.

More information about the EP Sub-Committees can be found below. Each Sub-Committee interacts directly with their respective Committee within the Chapter. If you are interested in volunteering with any specific Sub-Committee, feel free to contact that Sub-Committee's Chair or Co-Chair directly.

The Communications Committee is responsible for: 
• Working with each EP Cmmittee and the USGBC NC Triangle Chapter to promote events, inform members, and encourage communication.

The Design Competition Committee is responsible for: 
• Coordinating activities related to the North Carolina Sustainable Building Design Competition sponsored by Triangle USGBC, hosted by the NC Solar Center.

The Finance Committee is responsible for:
• Working with each EP Committee to develop a budget each year to submit to the board.

The Membership Committee is responsible for: 
• Managing Membership with chapter Membership Committee.

The Outreach Committee is responsible for: 
• Manage EP Outreach activities to like-minded groups and USGBC Student Groups.

The Programming Committee is responsible for: 
• Planning and coordinating all EP Programming.

The University Chairs serve mainly as liaisons between the USGBC Student Groups at the major Universities in the area (NCSU, Duke, and UNC) and the Triangle EP group. The University Chairs are responsible for:
