The Membership Committee's primary responsibilities are to grow, nurture, and maintain a diverse membership by soliciting, welcoming, and tracking potential, new, and current members. They strive to find new members who are engaged in or want to learn more about the dynamic green movement and welcome them to the Chapter. The Membership Committee also coordinates, participates in, and attends Chapter, local and regional conferences and green events in an effort to broaden the diversity of the Chapter membership and to advocate joining a worthwhile organization.
Committee Goals for 2012
The Membership Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of every month to discuss action items and current Committee goals. They encourage involvement in other chapter committees through participation or volunteer opportunities.
Specifically the Membership Committee:
• Increases active members through recruitment & retention efforts
• Prepares & distributes annual Membership Survey & compiles results
• Plans, coordinates, and participates in the Spring Members Meeting & Luncheon
• Helps plan, coordinate, organize, and participate in the Green Tie event in the Fall
• Participates in the GreenNC Conference
• Attends all chapter events and functions
• Updates & distributes new member packets and welcome gift
• Prepares event descriptions for newsletters and Chapter announcements
• Communicates & coordinates events with other Chapter committees
