The Education Committee works to provide multiple and diverse opportunities for our community to further its knowledge of sustainable building principles. Our programs will help to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life in the Greater Triangle Region. This Committee enjoys working together on events to make them informative, educational and enjoyable.
Committee Goals for 2012
Currently the Education Committee works on providing Talk-n-Walks, USGBC Workshops, GreenNC Educational Sessions, and works with other Triangle USGBC Chapter committees to provide educational opportunities at other Chapter events.

For the Talk-n-Walk series, the Committee is responsible for selecting topics of interest; and securing speakers and venues. |

For LEED workshops, the Committee is responsible for responding to the communities request for LEED workshops. The committee secures venue, catering and workshop support |

For the GreenNC sessions the Committee is responsible for requesting, reviewing and coordinating coordinating the educational sessions |
