Committee Goals for 2012
The following skills and experience (or the desire to learn) are of particular benefit to the Communications Committee: graphics and graphic design, posting to social media sites, experience with website content management systems and blog management, writing and editing skills and public relations / marketing / branding experience.
Specifically the Communications Committee:
• Manages the Chapter website
• Provides list management of members, non-members and other lists
• Creates email communications including the monthly newsletter, event and announcement emails
• Provides Chapter graphic design for the Chapter including ads, directory listings, brochures and other materials
• Oversees Chapter social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin
• Manages guest bloggers on the main Chapter Blog
• Works with the Executive Committee to create public relations materials that are consistent and help strengthen awareness of the Chapter
Meetings
The Communications Committee meets quarterly with monthly updates to all members. Responsibilities are managed via emails between CC members and other Chapter committee members.
