The North Carolina Triangle Chapter of the U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is now accepting nominations for its 2011 Board of Directors. Nominees must be current members of the local chapter in good standing, able to serve on the Board for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2011 and attend a breakfast for potential candidates on either August 24th or 25th. National membership in the USGBC is preferred but not required. National membership can be a deciding factor for eligibility or in determining ties. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, August 20, 2010 at midnight.

Nominations will be annouced at the Save it Forward2010 Awards Reception on September 9th. Board elections will take place electronically from September 10th through September 28th using Votenet.  Results will be annouced will be announced in early October to the membership; new board members are strongly encouraged to attend Board of Director meetings held in October through December as an observer to understand the use of dynamic governance and the issues before the Chapter/Board.
